I got the sweetest gift today from the okaasan of Arashiyama Okiya (Hosoi Mura). Ayaka san asked a few girls from other okiya and I to help her with her upcoming show by filling in for some dancers and later she sent me the sweetest letter thanking me and it came with the background of the poster created for the event. It is a beautiful sumi-e painting of grapes and grape leaves. <3
Memoirs of a Geisha themed Odori

Konbanwa minasama, I am up late tonight because I had a rather busy day today! Mitsuhana okiya is planning a kabuki odori. The main event is a kabuki dance called “Fuji Musume” or Wisteria Maiden. Geiko Tomohana will be dancing that part. If you look, you will find some of my sisters in the background. I will be on the side as a musician, but I also have an important part. I must narrate! I hope I don’t mess up!
I will be in another odori tomorrow as well with Arashiyama okiya. We will be dancing to the soundtrack of Memoirs of a Geisha as a patron has requested. We all look very lovely and it was put together very well…
Such a busy day tomorrow! I’m a little more nervous than usual because I have to hurry…
